Microsoft has already killed its new Xbox: report

Well sure the games will be available on PC as well but there will always be a market for the console I reckon.
 
No exclusives on XB1 because all games available on PC tells me one thing. they are bridging the gap between console and PC.

Put Outlook, Word and Win10 on the xb1. It will sell so damn well.

Same here. It is extremely unlike that Microsoft would leave the video game business open for another company to come in like they did.

Not sure what DFC's angle is here, but I would say that Microsoft's announcements were pretty consumer-friendly.

They've given us warning that they are launching a more powerful, upgradeable console by the end of 2017 along with the promise that games will still run on its cheaper counterparts.

That means folks won't feel cheated if they buy an Xbox One S now in August and the Scorpio releases a year later.

This article seems to be pure speculation, and not really based on anything substantial. And as you say, there will alway be a market. I'm even thinking of getting one if the price comes down. There are still a couple exclusives I want to play, as well as the media side of things work pretty well.
