Microsoft unveils 1TB Xbox One and 3.5mm headset jack improved controller

Lol

Imagine the day the MyGaming Press Bot posts something quicker that our resident news hound...

But...anyways back on topic...

I'm glad to see a bigger HDD in the Xbox. It's not gonna help me as I'll be stuck with the 500GB drive, and I've already spent a lot of money getting an additional controller, so not sure if I'l getting the new designed controller as well. What I am interested to see is whether or not Microsoft will drop the price of the 500GB units, or will this model replace the 500GB model and become the only version of the console. Many questions to be answered at E3

The 500GB model is dropping to $349, and the 1TB model will be $399. I saw it somewhere today but now I can't find it :/

Edit: Found it http://www.tomshardware.com/news/xbox-one-1tb-model,29339.html

Also, I think I misread. Currently the Xbox One is $349 after a price drop and it will stay there, with the new 1TB model being $399.

I am interested in that controller and its wireless receiver.

Edit: Only for Windows 10? Please don't let this really be the issue! I may only have it buy the time I can actually afford it anyway... :p

Hmmm, but the 500GB has been on $349 for a while now, and in fact that is the current RSP of the console. It would make sense though to get the new console at $400.

Yeah I edited my post, I remembered wrong of what I read this morning. Sorry about that

Not sure why people have issue with the windows 10 resriction of the dongle. I have a hunch it is relying on the xbox app (which is also only on windows 10) for the whole stream your xbox games -> to PC thing.

Besides you are getting Win 10 for free anyway (assuming you are on win7/8) ...

Either way, in the meantime, usb cable with xb1 controller is working just fine.
