Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

I just started playing - loving this game so far. It's also kind of unforgiving, which is really awesome (I'm used to some hand-holding).

Had a good lol when one of my Uruk captain targets killed himself and his crew with an explosive arrow before I could nail him. Can't wait to get stuck in more :D
 
I'm around 5hours in and enjoying it so far. I did find the first hour or so tough, when you have no real skills or runes. On reflection I would probably have done more captain hunting in that first couple of hours to level a little and prevent them from levelling. Now at 39 (as I remember) and the combat seems much easier with a wider range of skills and moves.

So far so good - enjoying it.
 
Also, just a little bit of information, not sure how many knows this, but the game was made by Monolith. One of fav devs. (They did some stuff with 3D Realms)

Games like Blood 1 & 2, SHOGO II MAD, NOLF, FEAR and Condemned.
 
Finally had some money to get the game and well money well spend.

Funny part is at the start went straight for a level 14 orge and I was like hell yeah epic battle turns out there are level 3 orgs ect now kind of disapointed they are so easy to kill.

Still want to get a combo of 100 so far reached about 70.

I was playing today at rAge, it was pretty fun when the guy was trying to explain the game and play at the same. So I asked if I could have a go, when he realised I knew what I was doing he used me to show off the game. So he explained the nemesis system whilst I was looking for a captain to kill, then I used an arrow headshot to show weaknesses etc, other captain to show Intel system.

So I was playing for like half an hour before I died and by then he had a huge crowd gasping whenever did an execution or combo attack and cut off an uruks head.

Done like 5 vengance kills and they have been really weak captains.

Hahaha yeah also finished it last night. You did not die so much on the 2de map did you switch to keyboard and mouse :p

The times I have died to a stupid archer captain made me so mad I just finish an epic battle with a high level captain where my hp is low and then this stupid level 9 captain archer gets there and just shoots me.
Are you going to try the challange mode?

When I got to the second map I got the really strong skills after which the game became a whole lot easier so I think I only died once on that map.

I'm not too interested in the challenge mode. Is it any good?

Not yet want to give it a go tonight.
Yeah those special moves made the last battle so easy killed them in a min or two.
 
Finished the game over the weekend, have to say the game was amazing right up till the end :(

Can't believe the final "boss" fight was just a series of QTE :mad:
