Minecraft dev Mojang backs "Reset the Net" privacy campaign

If you go to the core, you'd find it's nothing more than a massive marketing ploy for the likes of ToR that requires a significant population to survive, hiding behind a righteous agenda.

Currently ToR contains all the scum of the earth, so essentially they want to push people into their world.

Local marketing companies do a lot more damage to ordinary people than the likes of NSA. That and if you gonna spy on the whole world, the sheer bulk of data makes it unusable unless it's very specifically targeted against certain crimes.

The NSA won't expose people for cheating on their wives...

Have you "gone to the core" to prove it's a marketing campaign for Tor or merely asserting your assumption?

I'm not trying to be snippy; genuinely interested.

All I see is sales and promotions that promises of anonymity which is a big business. Nothing is a bigger threat to that business than the NSA. It's always gonna evolve around the money.

Since it's "trendy", it would be bad business for the big companies to take another stance than to support it, it's good for their image.
But I also see some websites are using it as a chance to upgrade and promote their security, in order to attract more users.
