Mission: Find gamer Girl, Status: Fail

I have not read much past the first few posts but I would like to comment that there are plenty of gamer girls out there.

If I think quickly in my current social circles I count about 8 or so girls aged 16 - 20 that play WoW and or various other games that isn't solitaire and tetris.. obviously take into account I myself am 20.. so that's why the girls are that age :)

I would like to say though.... I think a gamer girl should not be a requirement if you are looking for a relationship. Many of my newer friendships are women that do not play games and they are great friendships.

For me, it is that I shouldn't lose any sleep over not having any female friends, nor should I agonise over it online or contrive to set up a situation
in which I might draw attention to myself: on an online "matchmaking"
service for example. As Azimuth said, it smacks of desperation and I am inclined to agree with her on that.

Better to be myself, muddle along as usual and see what happens.
Ultimately, it doesn't matter whether I pass down my DNA.

Azimuth has argued against the distinction between male and female gamers. I am wondering whether I have erred in making one between
male and female friends given that I don;t do relationships.

I've kind of established that finding a girlfriend at age 16 who isn't incredibly annoying and stupid is basically impossible, so I'll wait until like...later. Seriously, on the very rare occasion where I've tried getting into girlfriends it's lead up to the most annoying hour of my life (yapyapyap, puppies, ex-boyfriend, parents divorced, etc.)

In the interests of fairness, I'll point out that most 16-year old boys are completely intolerable too. :P

Yeah there's no denying that but I like to make myself believe I am a relatively mature 16 year old, which makes things very hard...:c

Unfortunately I can relate. Call it a shameless lack of modesty, but the immaturity out there is astounding. Thankfully I have a few more options these days.

Be grateful that girls tend to be more mature, though. If you were into guys, well...shame is all I can say ;)

Yeah that's pretty true. In addition to the shocking immaturity I've had a lot of "failed experiments". Anyway, that's what 2guys1horse is for, right?
