Mistake...idiot

Two years or so ago, I made one of the biggest gaming-related mistakes of my life. I found a copy of Shadow of the Colossus and didn't buy it.:eek:

On top of that, I also sold my copy of Ico.:eek::eek:

Shot in the dark here, but does anyone know where or how I can get copies of these games again...especially Shadow.
 
:eek: i would kill for a Copy of Shadow.

Had the same experience with Fahrenheit. Saw it at Toys'R Us and didn't get it. Week later it was gone.
 
I know...I think I bowed in reverance to the hype-machine and bought one of the "big" titles out in that point of time...
 
Yup those certainly look hard to come by.

I checked all the major places I buy from online and they do not have. Best thing to do is to try phone as many physical stores for places like:

Incredible Connection
CNA
Look & Listen
Musica
Reggies
Toys R Us

And you miiiiight get lucky.

Glad I got my copies of both!

That or Pirate. There is a guy here on MG that has a site that sells older games. You should Check with him.
 
Thanks dudes, will do so. Learnt from my mistakes and will be buying The Last Guardian on release day. Even if it gets crap reviews, which it won't. Tell me tehNihilist, which is better; Ico or Shadow? And why, without spoilers.
 
I know you can get those games internationally easily, locally, I think you would be very hard pressed to find them.

If you desperately want them, you could order them for about R350 each and get them in about a week, guaranteed. You would probably spend the same amount of time hunting for it locally and get it at a higher price.

Personally I would say Shadow of the Colossus.

The fights are very amazing, especially for its time. The story is so-so, with the majority never being said and only slightly insinuated. It is not a story based game per se, but more like an emotional based game. The exact same thing could be said for ICO, where again the story is never handed to you really and relies on subtle emotions on the players behalf.

The gameplay in ICO, for me at least, can get very frustrating having to watch over that girl most of the time. But again, it has a very unique feel very much akin to Shadow of the Colossus. Both games feel more like interactive art than just a pure gaming experience. Very minimalist is places, but again, it makes it feel very unique.

Just know what you are getting yourself into, a lot of people I know can not stand these games due to their extremely unique feel, very much like an art movie.
 
Don't worry, I know exactly what I'm getting myself into. I've completed Ico and just want it as part of my collection. Just wanted to know if Shadow was the same. thanks for the help.
 
At least I was able to play Shadow of the Colossus thanks to a friend who borrowed it to me. Now if I could only find Ico.
 
I still have Shadow, wont be selling it any time soon. I'd also like to track down a copy of Ico though.
 
About a year back I saw ICO all over the place where I did not expect to see it. Thing is, it is often short lived. That is why when I see a title that I KNOW is not mainstream but is generally amazing, I try to get a copy asap. Did as much with Persona 3 and Persona 4 recently since they will down the line be HARD to find, and they are amazing games (just go read reviews).
