Anyone? Played it? How is it?

I love the idea of making my own cars that are totally unique, but I don't know if I'm that into kart-racing. I like racing games a lot but more in the lines of Forza 3 which is a bit more realistic.
 
Download the Demo off PSN, is pretty awesome. The creation tool, for the carts, is pretty powerful. Want to get it eventually along with another controller so that me and the wife can jam together. This is a brilliant party game. Mario Kart for the PS3 generation.
 
Picked it up yesterday with Blur and Split/Second, out of all three of the racers I'd say this one is my personal favourite. The customization is awesome, the racing and track design are great. The power ups and boost/defence system is a great idea. The only thing bad about it is it's load times. Hell it even brings the community together in those lobbies between races.

Freaking loving it and with all the unlocks I'll be busy for a long time!
 
I saw that today, looks pretty awesome! I like the Sly Cooper and the Power Ranger is REALLY well done.

OmegaFenix, Neo mind if I add you on the PSN...provided it's finally back up?
 
Only played literally one round on my friend's PS3, but he can't stop raving about it. It's all he plays these days. I can see that the track and character/kart editor is pretty powerful, but it's really not for me. Never enjoyed Mario Kart or any similar games either.

I also was never a big Kart racer fan, i hated the power ups and that sort of stuff but mod nation is serious fun and i think 4 player split screen would be EPIC!
 
sounds good, but think I'll wait another few months/years? for GT5 to drop....maybe pick this up from bargain bin then.
 
After playing the beta and being kicked by the host whenever I came in first place this game totally went off my radar.
 
I bought this game on release date, and i'm still not regretting it. It gets challenging closer to the end of the career mode but will recommend this title to anyone with a brain.
