Modern Warfare 2 MP Video teaser

The game utilizes the in-house IW 4.0 game engine, which is claimed to be a generation beyond the capabilities of the engine used in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Wich leads me to believe. If you can play WAW (which is more demanding on your rig than 4) Everything on MAX, lekker High Rez, then you wont have trouble with MW2 on medium settings.

Bear in mind alot of new physics objects and destructables have been incorporated. Also the game uses advanced new Ai, and MUCH MUCH bigger levels, as they require Texture streaming, a first for a COD franchise game.

Still wont pay that though. What I need to pay for though, is a "companion" for my girlfriend, cause come november 11-12 (SA release) she won't be seeing much of me........... Gonna be gaming gaming gaming. so the NVG would just sit there gathering dust

I must admit i really want it but i might pass up on this and just buy the stock standard pc version. 2k is a bit much especially if i want to get a car and pay for my wedding. Would be so totally awesome but oh well, im starting to think i could use that money better. OMG! Im growing up! /Weeps hysterically.

I'm hoping this game gives my new 4870s a chance to stretch their legs

Thats a Radeon GPU isn't it? I think ill take that 2k for the Prestige and up my cpu as my gpu is still good and my motherboard cant take more than 4gb of ram.

you mean 4890s ?

No, i went with the vaporX 2GB 4870s. They are much quieter and cooler, and also a little bit cheaper.

Nothing has really made them sweat yet, other than Crysis at 1680x1050 with everything set to enthusiast and 4xAA which slows things down to around 32fps on average

ah nice nice! I really was still under the impression of you using the 4890's!

Soz about that. Yeah I'm guessing the physics objects, and the advanced new rendering techniques on MW2, will prove the money's worth for your babies :)
