Modern Warfare 3 dedicated PC servers confirmed

Hmmm, could've sworn the same was done with MW2 and then a while later that was retracted and suddenly no dedi servers after all had pre-ordered...

there is a song by Phil Collins called "in the air tonight"

its quite a iconic song for its meaning

its about a guy who could've saved the other guy but because of all the wrong the drowning guy did, he was not saved
Im afraid its too little too late fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me

As a player that first started with COD online and now enjoys BF games way more, i must say this is just too little too late my reason are quite simple, my time will be taken up by BF3 and the fact is (and this is the ONLY REASON WHY) they gave servers because of the stiff competition of BF3, my suggestion to IW, just stop making for PC and stay with console, BF3 belongs on PC and guess what it can do just as well on console, so IW take note, thats how you do it

So dont act now that you (IW) care, its only because of BF3 and what it brings to the poker table

IW play your final hand, go all in, and DICE will call it and you'll be out....

im afraid my trust has been broken after BO, yes 3ARC made it but its the COD franchise that takes the hit

Duno the novelty just isn't there for me, since MW2 Cod has been a real letdown. Long live CoD4, and onto brighter days.. and BF3 :)

Will never get it. This is a marketing ploy and nothing more. Activision and Infinity Ward can kiss my nought!

Well i don't think there was ever any doubt about dedicated servers for PC, but it's always good to get confirmation. :)

When is the 27th of October again..............?

COD4 was amazing. Everyone played and loved it. Everyone lanned it and most bought it to be played online. You could play it 1v1 and it was great fun. From that respect, it will always live on.

That being said, BF3 is gonna rock my world! I'll play MW3 for the hell of it from someone elses house or something.. But I'm gonna have to speak to my ISP about opening those ports completely for me :( He chokes my interwebs so much :(

before MW3 and it will be "1st" in many categories besides being released first, it will be cheaper

so in just those few words BF3 has already come up in front

I thought I remembered them saying that there wouldn't be.

I'm not sure how you can say that since MW2 didn't have dedicated servers and IW had been pretty mum about their inclusion in MW3 to the point where most assumed there wouldn't be, so dunno how you can say "there was never any doubt".

I will admit anything will be better than the stupid matchmaking system of MW2, I think I spent more time in the lobby than in game

No doubt if BF3 weren't also coming out they would have been singing a different tune.

Anybody else notice that the game is also above-average price on Steam, and that there are absolutely no pre-order incentives for it?

Why would they give Pre order incentives for a game that will out sell any and all other games including BF3.
They have a huge following, so they can ask whatever price they like and people will still buy the game.
I have both MW3 and BF3 on order so its not from a fanboy point of view.

We pay premium prices for premium games. Its as simple as that.
