Makes sense. They've been releasing a COD game every Nov since MW1. Got to keep Bobby happy you know!!
 
I must say I've enjoyed MW2 way more than BFBC2. It's a shame they're gonna screw up Black Ops so badly. :(

Let me guess they are developing it for XBox, porting it to a school calculator and then porting the school calc port to PC.

Halfway through the dev process they announce that some critical feature is missing (turning left in the case of MW3) since it isn't balanced for that.

MW2 is an awesome game in it's own right compared to BC2 and people really shouldn't compare them, as they are different games. Where MW2 fails is the lack of dedicated servers. This means no admins and no one to check on hacking etc and that has completely ruined a otherwise fine game. Yes, hackers occur in other games as well, but they almost all have admins present.

So, if there is going to be a MW3, let's hope that they don't kcuf this one up too in the same manner. But, even if they do, will it be the same without the IW guys behind it? Will it even be made for real? Here's to hoping, as I also really enjoyed the story of MW 1 & 2.

Besides, let's first see what happens with Black Ops, but I don't think we will see any local servers. Read somewhere that the money Gameservers.com would need to spend to create local servers wouldn't be justifiable from a profit point of view, due in part to our still high bandwidth costs compared to international. So, if MW3 is made, don't get your hopes up for local servers either.
 
Wow what a shocker, a COD game release in November :eek:

One day there will be a COD thread without the mention of dedicated servers, until then.....
