Modern Warfare 3 Thread

So, MW3 was released last night...anyone who's managed to get their hands on it wanting to share their thoughts on it?
 
i have one thing to ask of anyone who comments... please leave the whole BF vs CoD BS out of the posts so we can avoid the fiasco that was the articles comment section... (anonymity plus an audience = complete social breakdown kthnx :/) i want to know what the game is like (MP, not SP if possible), not how it compares to battlefield. I have battlefield and am enjoying it immensely, however this is the first battlefield game ive ever picked up due to being a CoD fanboy... i dont care about graphics or visuals, i want game dynamics, ease of use and the like. is it easier to access a lobby than having to go through the POS that is Origin and Battlelog?

and if anyone gets on the whole hacker bandwagon as well... how easy is it to mess with the config files and console? I dont know what servers these guys are playing on BF3, but i have yet to see any true hackers (yet i have been called one many times myself).

Will a 384k line be ok to get into a lobby, using an xbox live UK account? Black Ops played fine, but took ages to get into a lobby on 384k, hope MW3 won't be
 
I have played a little of the MP but there are no servers by the look of it. It looks like MW2. I want to be able to select the server i am on. Maybe i an doing it wrong but i want it like black ops! Anyone else see this as the same as MW2?
 
It's not that hard levelling up quickly :D

Me and a mate used to hit the NukeTown 24/7 servers on BlackOps, and climbed 2 prestige levels per day. IN a good round of Demolition you can hit Level 10 from a fresh prestige before map end, we did it countless times. Trick is to hammer the challenges, and not to stress about your K/D.
 
eish just started up steam and saw quite alot of people playing MW3 ... all the MW2 okes ... might be missing out it seems :-/
 
I'm playing it on Xbox, but maaaaaaaaaan, it's so much dumb fun. There's a good reason Call of Duty is the world's #1 gaming brand, despite what the haters say - the games really are ace.
