Modern Warfare 3 Thread

All the positive criticism is making me extremely keen on getting the game now :/ just gotta scrape up a bit of cash again and then as soon as exams are over - it's Game On! :D
 
I'm loving it :P need a break before my eyes lose sight forever..

new maps, weaps, equipment, perks - always exciting

guns are tweaked - don't see people sniping across maps with smgs etc.. more realistic

no lack of games - all cod fans flooding together for one title so plentiful games even with no dedicated servers (had no probs today played about 3 hrs mp)

buy it!!
 
Can't see myself buying this game. Sorry guys, but they milked this franchise too much. Ricky Bobby Kotick's greed has gone too far. This game could have been so much more - the cow is drying up slowly. unranked DS, c'mon...
 
gna be getting this game next month.. that thing most of u call money.. yeah.. that... i dont have that... so heres to next month.. :)
 
I hate myself for the loving the game so much even though they only made a few changes to the MP.

MP is much faster, leveling up is WAY faster so dont be alarmed at guys sitting at level 50, you will get there sooner than you think. Maps seem tighter and well thought out, Ive always thought that map design went downhill from COD4, the 5 odd maps that I played were all superbly designed. That said I dont see any place for a sniper to be honest, maps were not designed with snipers in mind which is a bit of a shame. I do see however that quick scoping is back, wonder why they left that in there, it was fixed in BO.

New game modes are fun, I just love the classic TDM and Sabotage modes too much to spend time on the new game modes, maybe in time ill try them again.

Xbox live matchmaking - much better than Mw2, first time I tried matchmaking it took about 30 seconds and connected me to an international game, second time around it took 15 seconds and connected me to a local game. I know most players will create a party or just join a friends game rather than going through the matchmaking process.

I have no regrets with my purchase.

YOh, I managed to play for a couple of hours last night. All in all, very happy with it. It wont be out of my Xbox for a while, thats for sure.

Firstly, its VERY similar to MW2 - which is a great thing IMO! Secondly, they seem to have sorted the P2P matchmaking? Every time I searched for a game, I jumped into a local game?! Thank freaken goodness.

The maps are also a huge improvement. Very stoked!

One thing I miss (I'm pretty much alone here among my mates), are the 'hit sounds' that blops has. So when you're firing a whole bunch of lead into a dude, when some of those shots hit the guy, it makes a different sound. If that makes sense.
I found in blops that it gave a really nice feel to the gun and gameplay, and made things a little better to know how many shots you got into him.
In MW3 it may do this, but I dont even notice it if it does.

Its definitely there, you are probably so busing pwing (or being pwnd) to notice the sound :P

Gee dit tyd plassie, jy sal sien die game is n verbetering al is dit n klein verbetering. Wag ook vir elite, dis gemaak vir l33t ouens soos jy en jou clan members.
 
Ek het so bietjie gepseel gisteraand. Het dit geniet, behalwe vir die odd 999 ping met 2 sec pause.

Gaan net tot level 80 speel en dan my classes create en die Dedi's join, gaan nie worry oor prestige nie.

NIe een van die servers waarop ek was het "custom classes" support nie. Elke liewe een het net die stock predefined classes gehad.

Ek het 5 van mweb, 2 van IS en 2 van SGS se servers getry en met hulle almal kon jy net van die predefined classes gebruik maak waarmee jy die game begin.
 
Mense lvl so vinnig dat jy teen kersfees al paar keer kan prestige. Die ranked stuff is regtig net as jy omgee oor leaderboards en dis vir my dom.

Elite kom SA toe net nie die Premium nie agv die dom wet wat ons het. Maar ons het regtig nie die premium nodig nie.
 
Ek kon ook uiteindelik gisteraand begin speel, was heel fun al het ek vreeslik gesuck. Kani wag vir die werkdag om verby te gaan nie.

Ek praat met die mweb dudes en hulle het gisteraand die custom classes op een server getoets en dit reg gekry so dis why ek vir jou vertel het.
