More bugs for Battlefield 4

If you're going to report on BF4 bugs every time a new one comes out, you're going to have to hire an additional staff writer!

Today I tried to play BF4 for the first time in about 3/4 weeks.

I install the mandatory update, so far so good.

I launch the atrocious browser-based handler; and then discover I have to re-install the Java applet. Mildly annoying however not the most unreasonable thing after an update.

I find a server with at least 10 free spots, then pour myself some juice whilst I wait the mandatory 10 minutes to actually get into the game.

However upon the level actually loading; Lo and behold my framerate oscillating between 8-14 fps, (The last time I played I was averaging 35 - 42 fps). So I then lower my graphics incrementally until I eventually am at absolute lowest and the highest it goes up to is a mind-boggling 17 fps. I try and see if the problem is limited to the MP but obviously my SP is reproducing similar results.

The only solution that seemed to work was uninstalling the game, lamenting my foolishness in purchasing it to begin with, and playing Dota 2(a FREE game that actually FUCKING WORKS!).

Incidentally a summary of the type of relationship we maintain with EA.

I believe we can all agree that no game will ever be perfect , especially a multi-player one.
However I don't believe that we should willfully allow ourselves to participate in a genuinely broken product (or at the very least not pay full price for a product of that kind).

Regardless of how much a Ferrari costs to manufacture, we should get a discount if the fucking tires are missing.

I've had two night of issue-less gameplay in BF4. The bugs I encounter are so small and almost always server side, I've gotten over it and tend to stick to the stable servers. Still the Best MP game I've ever played.

I can guarantee then that you are in the minority. The vast majority of people that I know have experienced a plethora of issues that make the experience unenjoyable. The few times that it did work properly it was fun; however its heaven's short of being the best MP. To each his own I suppose

To each his own yes, the formidable amount of players on the servers every night, makes my claims seem to be influenced more by the majority :p

Here's what you need to enjoy battlefield:

1. The correct drivers for all of your hardware
2. Updated DirectX installation.
3. Updated PunkBuster files.

I've experienced minimal issues with the game. I can't say that I haven't experienced issues, but the ones I have experienced hasn't ruined the game for me. If you check the 3 items above, it will prevent a few nasty experiences.

They should rename this game to Starship Troopers with all the bugs it has in it.

Full servers doesn't equal everyone having a perfect game. I know I am in the minority when it comes to the game being unplayable; however even the times where play has proceeded there are often people complaining about some issue or the other.
