Agreed. As much as I'd like one of these, I'll skip this generation of cards and see what Nvidia can dish up next year.

Exploitative pricing?

You can't compare SA pricing to the US or Europe for that matter. Companies like New Egg don't go through suppliers, they get supplied directly by MSI/Asus ect and they are the main reseller and distributor for their products so they get damn good pricing. On top of that the US market is a thousand times bigger than the SA market...Our market is barely a drop in the ocean.

You can compare our pricing to a place like Australia, they are currently paying $529 for the MSI GTX970 Gaming.
Take that price and convert to Rand ($529 * R11 = R5819).
