Mortal Kombat 9 coming to PC

Hey guys,

The game is currently available on Greenmangaming.com for pre-ordering:

You can use the code GMG25-2G9OL-15PO7 to bring the price down to $22.50, which is roughly R223 / R224 vs the R300 price tag without any discount, which is a bargain in my opinion.

If you do purchase the game via Greenmangaming, you'll get an activation key for Steam (seeing that it is a Steamworks title). I personally believe that the game will be available on the Steam store tonight after 19:00 or tomorrow, seeing that it's 2 weeks today till the game releases (3 July), maybe 5 July for us because we fall under the EU region, but lets see :D

I already ordered via GMG, I think Steam will have a -10% preorder discount with a free copy of MK Arcade Kollection (which I already own on PC and PS3) for those interested in that offer. But lets be honest, the GMG preorder price is just unbeatable :D

PS: It's currently the number 1 selling game on GMG's top 10 list

If you read my post, you would see that I said it's a Steamworks title, meaning it won't use GFWL like the Arcade Kollection. It has Steam achievements and no game to date has had Steam achievements as well as GFWL achievements :)

Plus, the game requirements page on GMG doesn't state anything of a requiring a GFWL account either.

Well, there have been Steamworks games that still used GFWL (Saints Row the Third comes to mind), but this is good news, thanks.

Umm, I think you're mistaken, Saints Row The Third was only a Steamworks title, check it's store page on Steam, no mention of GFWL anywhere, but I get what your saying. I'll even go as far as to refund you R50-R100 of your preorder if it does have GFWL, but I'm confident in my vote of it only being a Steamworks title ;)

You're right, I think I was confusing it with something else.
 
The day has FINALLY arrived !

Tonight at 19:00 the game will be available in Steam at long last. I already activated my Green Man Gaming preorder key, the game is not showing on my library yet, but as soon as the store page is up, it should be good to go :)

I KAN'T WAIT !!

I'm currently downloading the game, 22% complete, going at 900kB/s + ,can't wait to play this on PC, no more PS3 for me. Will post my thoughts and review later this evening. So watch this space :)
