Mortal kombat x granted permission to use spawn

Spawn could be included in the Mortal Kombat X line-up after a recent reveal by Todd McFarlane.

McFarlane, in an interview with GamerfitNation.com, says a new deal with Warner Bros. grants the company limited access to Spawn for use in its games.

With Mortal Kombat X coming up in April, a Spawn appearance could actually be possible.

Nothing is confirmed yet, however, with McFarlane adding: “I don’t know if they’re ever gonna use it. They just might squat on it.”

McFarlane wants to expand Spawn beyond just video games, so we may be seeing more of the character in general. A new Spawn writer was announced at the Image Expo last month.

“I need the brand of Spawn to be bigger than it is right now,” says McFarlane.

There was plenty of Mortal Kombat X news that came out of last week’s Mortal Kombat X live stream. Among them was the reveal that Jade would not return as a playable character.

spawn was a guest character in soul calibur 2 on the original xbox and the HD version on 360, ps3, pretty famous Todd mcfarelane character

Thanks! I googled him when I read the thread and even watched that boring vid.
I haven't had the honour of playing Soul calibur 2 so not excited about this character.

I suppose it's possible for them to consider a sequel, especially considering the success of both MK9 and Injustice. We'll see after MKX.
