Well, I cracked and picked up the Special Edition Steal Case copy. Not bad for R750 and incl Goro.

Hope we gonna have some games ;)

I tried some online matches the weekend. It was a bit of a mixed experience. there were some good matches with almost lag and I got my ass handed to me about 80% of the time. The best were from western and middle Europe. Had quite a few matches against guys from Eastern Europe as well and the lag was so bad it crashed my game a couple times.
I understand the online matches are apparently cross-platform? Is there any way we could find each other on one place and play SA only games?

Bit the bullet.
Bought the Premium Edition on cdkeys for R350

Started playing Story mode. Loving it so far. Chapter 2 was annoying though, can't play with Kotal Kahn.

Yeah I struggled playing as him as well, I couldn't get used to his fighting style.

I'm curious, what difficulty are you guys playing the story/towers on? I played everything on medium and struggled at a couple of parts but I didn't find it terribly difficult. I'm considering giving hard a try. Has anyone attempted it on hard? Is the difficulty increment big between medium and hard?

I resorted to old MK style jumping kicks and also tried some kombo's. Oh and spamming of the flying disc.

I'm playing on Medium, got rekt a few times while playing as Kotal Kahn, the AI sometimes just start going ape shit with kombos XD

Also did my first play through on medium...

The final boss (dont want to give away spoilers) gave me quite a challenge... Got it on the 4th try... One of the times I was literally as far away from him as possible, and he just blasted me repeatedly till i died...

Started playing this on the PC today, using my DS4 controller. Could not play this on keyboard at all.
Love the effects and gruesomeness. But would rather buy this for PS4.. it seems like a better game on console

It is not.

The only possible reason that I could imagine that it was better on console was if the online play is more stable and reliable. I still haven't been able to get into a game for longer than 10 seconds without the connection dropping. It could be my line though.

Visually and mechanically it is identical on PC to PS4, assuming you have the rig to run it well. The small issues have been ironed out of the PC version now. I play the game with an XBox controller and it's fantastic.

I'm currently replaying the story mode with my prototype fighting stick, and it's freaking awesome :D

That arcade stick is looking absolutely awesome Eugene. I'm seriously considering building one myself now :D

It's a fun process. I want to make another one with a wireless xbox 360 controller I took apart, but unfortunately I don't have the wireless receiver for the PC, so I can't easily test what I'm doing.

Very cool. Is it easy enough to get documentation on the wireless controllers? I've never looked, but I am sure you would need some insight into what signals are used for what.

Official? You mean like something published by Microsoft? :wtf:

That's exactly what I mean, but I'll take that as a no :D

I suppose it would be silly of them to publish datasheets and hardware layer stuff. I just thought that it might be available for third-party hardware developers. If it is, it's probably under NDA though.

I've been somewhat enjoying this, though I [-]sometimes[/-] mostly feel like I'm button mashing. The story and voice acting leaves a lot to be desired :p but they do a relatively good job of introducing the kids.
