Most popular Steam games of the moment

It's amazing to see how a game like Skyrim can stay in the top 5, even though it came out over 2 years ago. say what you want about Skyrim, it's damn popular.

And it just shows that Valve really knows what the gaming public wants to play, seeing as they titles dominate the whole top 10. Quite astonishing.

Would love if they would actually move the launch queue a bit on Dota 2 for the SA steam accounts :(
Been itching to play for ages (and dont want to make a 2nd steam account for it)

I still buy all my ubisoft games through steam. I would do the same with EA if I could, I just prefer having one place to open everything.

Not only that, I have steam + games installed on my second drive. When I reload my PC I don't need to download/install anything. Just double click Steam.exe as admin and I am good to go from there on out. Uplay and even Origin give me endless hassles trying to do the same thing. Even when you click on keep downloaded files it doesn't.

Origin it gets worse, some games downloads fine but refuse to install causing you to remove the installed game and start download again.

This is over and above all the main reason why I love Steam. The fact that it keeps my games up to date and that I do not need to re download terabytes of data after a re-install.

From the Dota 2 South Africa Facebook Page:

"ARE YOU IN THE DOTA 2 QUEUE? GOOD NEWS GUYS!!
7 quick steps and you will be able to play!

-Download Hotspot www.hotspotshield.com (This is a a free VPN) It will change your IP to be from the USA.
-Install it and turn it on, it should say something like connection secure and IP is USA.
-Once connected, Go to the steam website IN YOUR BROWSER and you create a new steam profile.
-Once created you log in on that new profile IN YOUR BROWSER. (dont actually open the steam client yet.)
- When you've logged into steam via your browser, go to the the store and subscribe to dota2. It should say you already own dota2.
-After that, log out of steam in the browser and you turn off hotspotsheild.
-Now open steam client and log in on the new profile and dota2 should start to download."

Thanks man - saw similar advice on reddit but I specifically dont want a second steam profile (had this before - was a pain).
Dont play much of anything anymore due to work so suppose I'll just wait till they sort this out.

All is not lost, its simple to do next reload.

Before you reload, just copy Steam folder away from c:\Program Files (x86) to any drive even removable. Reload your pc and then instead of downloading Steam again, you just run the Steam.exe as admin for the 1st time, from where you copied it to.

It will set up steam pointing to that drive and you will not need to re-download all the games.
