The 24-year-old's helmet came off in the collision and he was taken to the medical centre for treatment, but died from his injuries.

Rossi and edwards caught him but it seems like edwards did cause the fatal blow

That's heavy... what a shame but it was a normal racing accident...

Not sure how the helmet came off as they have quite complicated strap systems these days. Have heard that your head shrinks in such impacts though. Just hectic

Well no use assigning blame, was an accident but Rossi drove over his right arm, and the poor oaks head got stuck between the two bikes. The pic taken from the front is the worst

I heard one of the drivers had died (I normally watch the races but couldnt yesterday). I actually loved Simoncelli's driving. His death is a loss to the sport.

I saw this on tv yesterday.. That is a dangerous sport.. Just one wrong move and a lot can go wrong... His death really is a loss to this sport...
