Moving from SD PVR to Vanilla HD Decoder - Advice needed

so i currently had an old SD PVR. But its very noisy and runs super hot. I want to get rid of it and buy a cheap HD Decoder (see they going for under 500 bucks).

here is my question. will my current twin lnb cable setup work with the new decoder ? Or is there some other cabling required ?

My advice would be cancel DSTV altogether and use Netflix instead. But that's just me

Hiro, Yes your dual LNB will work perfectly ;) I did my own installation with the HD PVR so i am 100% sure you are good to go...

Except for the dual PVR which used 4 cables and had 2 recording/channels, you only need 2 cables excluding the heart beat one.

Thats a great price! Ichigo is correct though, If you want to have another PVR in the house in a different room then you will need 4 cables, and the heartbeat cable connecting the two decoders... I have done this as well, but had 2 dishes, so used 2 dual LNB's...

Yep we got a HD Pvr 2u/HD Decoder here in xtraview using a Dual lnb and a 6 way splitter so I can add another decoder if I wanted to :D.
