Please not this is not about the petition!

Hi Guys, I made a thread on sgs forums, I'm trying to see if I can do something for the gaming community.
I didn't post this in the pcgaming section because it applies to console gamers aswell

Hi Guys I’m making this thread so I can sort out some stuff and views etc personally. I made Contact with Colin Webster.

From my conversation with Colin he basically puts the blame with the current situation solely on miscommunication. Basically saying that MSSA hasn’t heard from the community what they want. As he puts it “Think about it, you are unhappy with a lecturer at 'Varsity, but all you do is complain to your friends at lunch time. The administration may be aware that the students are unhappy, but until the students take the initiative and approach the administration with a list of their grievances, there is nothing that they will do”.

I’m not taking sides here, either for the community or the MSSA, I just want to hear your opinions and experiences over what has driven you away from the MSSA.

Without flaming me, I’m hoping you guys will be able to suggest things you either want different or whatever. From what I’ve heard there were some lengthy issues involved with getting promod as official for Africon, can you guys let me know what happened that side as well?

I will make a summary of this stuff and submit it to Colin Webster, I will also relay his response if possible here.

I’m aware that this thread is Flame material, I would really appreciate it if you guys could give me some real responses and such.

I dunno I still really don't trust the MSSA. They seem to be very good at sounding like the innocent party, but then maybe we should give them another(Yes quite a few :P) chance.
 
I'm not sure what this whole thing with MSSA is about, since I only recently started playing online and at LANs etc, but yeah maybe we should since they are willing to work things out by the looks of it... Or maybe they're willing to work it out because of the petition that's been going around.
 
Yup, I signed when it was on the saix site as I dislike MSSA's dodgy/underhanded means of going about things

Okay off topic: I don't think even half the people the signed the petition realised what it was even about.

However the MSSA needs to start sorting things out. The have has so many chances and people are just simply getting fed up with them.
