Municipal Elections day 18 May

Got there 20mins before the polls opened. Took about 10mins to get it done.

Kuga you silly puppy :p Fortunately it's only the WARD vote you screwed up. :D

Remember - if you dont vote you cant complain :D

I've been thinking about this statement for a while and it's IMO a total heap of bull. Total play on emotion of those that choose not to vote. And everyone, as citizens, has a right to complain. Think about those that are below the legal voting age that live in poor conditions....but guess they cannot complain, right? Since they have not voted. Pfft...

But yes, I voted. Took me a total of 15 mins from home, vote, back. Nice.

So I guess I can start complaining now. ;)

if you can't vote, different story

but if you can vote but don't, don't freaking complain. fit in or fuck off

fit in or fuck off
awesome method to convince people its been working for the church since god knows when, just look at everyone that's been told strait or wrong, christian or wrong, white or wrong, this baptism or wrong, this belief or wrong.

imho people like you are as much as part of the problem as the people who don't vote. we don't need both, what we need is working together over working to separate. don't you think it would work better when you try to understand them, let them see there is an alternative over just preaching HELL or HEAVEN ?

god humans are so fun; hey i want change, but i want you and you and you to fuck off :)

i've quite a open mind, but voter apathy is one thing i cannot stomach.

be you whatever, you were born that way, but apathy is a shitty mindset that has no place anywhere

I walked in during lunch time at about 1pm and there was literally 5 people in front of me, so ja I was done in like 5min. Randburg ROCKS!!! hahahahaha... :p

I went into my voting station and THERE WAS NOBODY THERE 0.o

Literally - the IEC staff looked like they were falling asleep. 2 minutes fl ... well ... I want to say 2 minutes, but it took me about 20 minutes to unfold the Metro ballot. Who do all those people think they're fooling. The Cape Independence Party? They probably got 3 votes total, and I'll bet you it's the same 3 people who appear on their poster.

Anyways - Kuga - your vote counts - even if you went over the line a bit; it's pretty damn clear who you were voting for. The only way that won't get counted is if an ANC fanatic gets your ballot in front of them - and the votes get rechecked after the initial count at the polling station. The only time they call it a spoilt vote is if there is any scribbling on any other part of the ballot paper, or if it isn't clear who you were voting for.

Unless they've drastically changed the way things work since I last pulled a shift during an election.

Do you people really think the anc with just step down?

A part of me thinks there would be some resistance.
