Murdered: Soul Suspect Confirmed for Xbox One Release

I'm not sure whether anyone here is aware of this game, but it was revealed as a new IP by Square Enix at last year's E3. The concept is intriguing but it seems like it will be one of those games that could go either way. Originally set as a last-gen release, it has now been confirmed to be releasing on Xbox One as well (no confirmation on a PS4 release at this point). They've also released a new trailer and the box art:

Murdered: Soul Suspect, previously announced for PC and current-gen only, is also coming to Xbox One.

The news was announced by Microsoft’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb in an Xbox Wire video, which you can watch below. It also features gameplay footage and commentary from the development team.

It’s not clear whether the Xbox One port will release simultaneously with current-gen versions.

A Square Enix representative reportedly told Geimaku a PlayStation 4 version is also on the way. When contacted by VG247, Square Enix would not comment on either platform, but said it would have more news to share shortly.

The Murdered: Soul Suspect box art was revealed earlier today. The Airtight Games adventure is expected on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 sometime in the second quarter.

A supernatural murder mystery, Murdered: Soul Suspect hails from the same team as Quantum Conundrum; Airtight is led by Kim Swift, best known for Portal.

Update: Square Enix confirms both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions are on the way.

Murdered: Soul Suspect confirmed for PS4 too, coming in June

You didn't need to be much of a gumshoe to work this one out: Hot on the heels of being announced for the Xbox One, Murdered: Soul Suspect is also confirmed for the PS4.

However, a bit of extra sleuthing - by that we mean watching a video - reveals Airtight's post-mortal mystery has a new release window of June 2014. So, in addition to the two platforms noted above, you'll be able to track it down then on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Ooh interesting.

Looks like my type of game, judging from what I have read and saw, the storyline seems epic!
