Music U Listen To During Games

I believe that a gamer should listen to always listen to music that fits with the game(you aren't going to listen to Britney spears(Oh how I hate her music) while playing Dead space 2 and you aren't going to rock Limp bizket while playing cooking mama 4:D) so I would like to know what other gamers listen to when they play games

Personally I like I go bruno mars or R&B/Hip-Hop while playing shooters and racing and everything else for all the other genres
 
You are doing the game a disservice by playing music on top of the game. The sound design is a very important and specific part of the game.
 
when I play Any cod I have a little playlist that helps me get into the game.


A few of these said songs are

-breaking benjamin blow me away
-coheed and cambria-welcome home
-linkin park new divide
-eminem-till I collapse
Papa roach-last resorT
Pod- alive
Eminem ft pink- won't back down
Ram jam-black betty
Three days grace-riot

Ohh and btw monk I only play with music during MP.

Unless it something like dota or any MMO where you're so desenstised and sick of the same generic war3 music. Sound/ambience/music is essential to the single player experience though.
 
Well with multiplayer games I want to be able to hear game sounds to hear stuff like enemy movement and maybe what spells they are casting, etc. But sure, jamming with music is at least more acceptable in MP than SP.

My music is stored directly onto my xbox360 so the music blends in to the sounds of the game :)

But with FPS's I never do it

funny this should come up. just played some Black ops to As I Lay Dying but I was mainly listening to the music and stuffing around in game.
 
Basically rock, its true to some games its a disservice but I don't feel that way for the racing game, can't think of playing Gran Turismo without my playlist.
 
Depends on the game. UT 2004 I use to.

Stuff like Slayer,metallica,Iron maiden. Pantera.
 
I don't always play music when I game, but I do 80% of the time, I just perform better :p.

If I play NFS or any other racing game it will be Bullet for my Valentine mixed with some Seether and sprinkled with Ensiferum.
FIFA, no need, each installment has SUCH a killer track already!
FPS - Mainly KoRn and The Prodigy.

For Me Bruno Mars Just makes me want to Kill Someone :p

(in a good way of course) Like his music, But it just seems to make me better

But I don't just listen to him I've got a whole gaming playlist (literally) full of songs like

AKA - Jealousy

Rock - I Am Rock(yep the 1 from NFS:MW)

Celldweller - Shapeshifter (Also from NFS:MW)

Bruno Mars - (All of his music)

Die Antwoord - Rich B!t€h(I find it funny if I'm depressed)

And so forth

OOh and Eminem helps me aswell

Most rock goes pretty well with first person shooters, just look at any trickshot video on youtube, i enjoy hip hop though:D maybe its just me
