MW2 Plot Question -SPOILER WARNING!!!

Why did Shepherd betray everybody in MW2 I don't get it, he says something about loosing "30 thousand men and the world just watched?" :confused:
 
LOL.

I think he lost a regiment or something in the past and US never "recognized" them with proper funerals or something and he was left to blame or just forgotten so he is trying to get back at the country ?

geez thats petty, great story, but they didn't tell it that well
 
Well I said I think, as I was pondering the same thing my self after the happenings in MW2. My Memory of Mw1's story is kinda vague and I don't feel like replaying the game.

cod4s story had nothing on Shepherd, the storys are actual have very little in common, you just think price died, and you feel some Deja-Vu.
Shephard was obviously not in league with Makorov tho
 
as for what he is refering to. remember the nuke that went BOOM! in the city? wiping out all the marines?

well i don't remember the year Shapherd stated..... So everybody rates hes taking revenge on some bad move of his superiors? why did hw have to kill ghost the> he was so cool! :(

Hey! Its a video game. He just may return in Modern Warfare 3. We all thought Cpt Price was dead. He made his return :)

ok encase you don't remember, ghost was shot and burned
price was just shot, and the Russian government took him away in a stretcher, then the government changed and he got sent to the gulag
 
erm... yeah Ghost took a .44 to the chest and got pwnd then burned... same as Gaz. took a .50 to the skull...

but still it kinda sucks though. the whole time they advertise that you will be playing as Sgt. Gary Sanderson aka Roach only to got shot and burned... bad form IW

yeah sure they went for the "edgy" approach but it became overdone...
 
Dude....This might be an idiotic idea but how cool will a Modern Warfare movie be with a $200mil budget?

Because no one who has played any of the 2 modern warfares can tell me with a straight face that it wasnt the most awesome action packed story with twists that my girlfriend will sit there and tell me to go on cause its brilliant...

Its would be freaking awesome, but noting the other movies made from games, it would be an epic fail with a fucked up story :(
 
Yes very true but and this is a very big but because they always screw it up if they pull it off it will be a box office hit just because of the fact that its modern warfare.

But we all love to dream.
