Let's try and keep all the player views and site reviews in one place so we can make an educated decision on whether to get the game or not.
Note we're only worried about the PC version of the game.
Some of Mappy's clan mates tested the game out and shared their view here.

Single player/Spec Ops.
1) Achievements - Why the hell was I unlocking Xbox live achievements as I was playing through single player? Were you guys too lazy to remove them while porting the game to PC? You cant even view these achievements at all. Why are we notified about them?
2) Campaign length - Whoever said this was 9 hours long was talking crap. I completed it from start to finish in 3 hours on Regular. I even had those moments where I kept dying over and over.
3) Spec Ops - Requires us to have a have a friend to play with, you cant just hop online and get paired with some random person like I was expecting. You must invite someone to play with.
Multiplayer.
1) This is a 100% Xbox port - Pretty obvious after 30 minutes online. Hardcore (not the game type) CoD4 players will definitely be disappointed with this. To console players its going to feel like CoD4 all over again but to PC players its a step backwards.
2) Too many restrictions - Why do I have to UNLOCK hardcore? Why can I only play S&D and TDM in hardcore? Why am I only able to play TDM and FFA out of the box?
3) Host advantage - IW was bull####ting when they said you cant tell who the host is. I could tell after 60 seconds who the host was. The guy stomped everyone 4 matches in a row and no it wasnt because he was better than everyone else in game.
4) Gameplay - Feels really stale at the moment. Might be because everyone is walking around with the same classes right now.
5) IWnet - Not had many problems with it so far besides the host advantage thing. I did have one game where three players had one red bar and they were warping all over though. The rest were ok but not something competitive could be played on.
