MW3? Don't buy this crap.....

The new game mode aka Drop zone is incredibly fun!!
One of the best additions I have seen :D Its pure rush, running to objective, protecting, while care packages drop..hopefully get a stealth bomber :D and boom 6 dead in 1 Kill streak :D

Its bloody awesome, played a game scored 40+ kills and only 4 deaths, mainly due to my awesome strategy and the care packages I got during the game. The game mode also helps you level like crazy (if that is important to you).

Be warned though..If you are anal about K/D ratio this game mode is not for you lol
 
People are just been pensioners now argueing over a coupon cutout and demanding the discount...

The core game play for battlefield has not changed since the 1st iteration of the game and neither has cod.

All thats changed is how that core gameplay gets delivered thats it, case closed, next lady for a shave

The problem is not the game its burnout or personal indifference/preference

move on now, its ok to let go ;)

It is not about core gameplay... otherwise they would be silly to keep the same name in a series.

I just don't think mw3 is a different enough game to blops, mw2 and even cod4.

The number of changes BF3 does in a patch is more than the difference between mw3 and its forerunners. :P

I just dont see how a company can make $1Bn from the changes that they made. They must be smiling so much, i would.

If you are not going to advance the graphics, then you had better do something special with the gameplay... i just don't feel like they have.

Each year all the COD fan boys, myself included, renew our subscription. It is our choice to pay R500 a year to play basically the same game with different weapons.

Why it offend some people so much, I don't know. It seems they can't sleep at night, worrying about people who play COD.

It rather simple really, there will be a release each year until people stop buying COD. And while some don't like it, millions of other people like it and are willing to pay high prices for it.

A change in the engine will mean a change in the gameplay, or style or whatever. Think of Counter-Strike 1.6 vs Counter-Strike:Source. Activision will not risk losing their customers just yet with changing the engine. They will continue to mutate the old Quake engine until it destroys itself.
And quite frankly, I rather prefer a game that might not look so good but is at least playable (MW3) to a game that looks pretty but have so many other errors you are lucky if you get to play it once in awhile (BF3).

Also, reason people want others to stop buying COD is this, well this is my reason:

I do not want the makers of COD to get more money. If they start losing their fanbase and money, they might get back to making good games again like COD4 was back in the day. Because people buy anything with "call of duty" on it blindly, they will put less effort into the COD series until it dies a horrible death.

So not supporting COD and not buying the new COD will actually help the series in the long run, at least that is what i am hoping for.
 
Every time i play mw3 and i die i am waiting for the screen to pop up and say please insert more tokens ... haha myabe just me .

There are a lot of people who have problems getting disconnected or kicked from servers. I am one of them. Tonight was the first time this week that I could actually play for more than a few minutes. And it only lasted for a hour or two anyway. This is a tendency going on now for 7 weeks. EA/Dice has up until now not acknowledged that this is a problem or that they are working on it. They are trying everything in their power to convince me that the problem is with my set up though.

I take this as sloppy coding, something that developers are guilty of these days. They spent to much time in making a game pretty that the other things are quickly added and then gives problems. Then they need a huge patch to fix it, only by breaking some other stuff.
If it were just a few people suffering from the problem, like with MW2 when I had the "Unplug your console" error on my PC, I would say the problem is with the client, but with so many people from different countries and different setups it must be a problem with the game.

I like BF3, I display my stats in my signature block, I even had a server running for it paid for by myself, but because of the frequent disconnects and kicks it is getting on my nerves and I am contemplating in giving up on BF3.

Of course those who can enjoy the game whenever they want with no fear of getting kicked or disconnected will not be able to understand my frustration.

I hear what you say about COD, and partly agree with you, but the only way the current COD wave will break is when people are getting bored with it, like with WW2 shooters. Until then we will continue to buy COD every year, same shit, different title.

To rant and rave on forums like some people do is just negative energy spent, it will amount to nothing.

And yeah after playing BF3, MW3 do feel a bit "plastic", as Putty_ZA had put it ;P
 
I agree with this statement, Battlefield's graphics are so much better and MW3's storyline is bad.

DICE's Frosetbite 2 is their best creation so far! :D

MW3's single player is phenomenally better than Battlefield 3 even if its cliche. I know I have said it time and again but that is the one thing that it beats Battlefield 3 with hands down imo.
 
I haven't had any crashes or anything bad with BF3 for the last 3weeks now.just a few hardware related issues where my GPU would overheat but thats been fixed by turning the fan speed up and adjusting the automatic setting so it goes higher at certain temperatures.
 
I saw some site had MW3 keys for $21... for all those who would like to play this game and unbias their opinion.
