MW3 seems REGURGITATED?

Heh, well to be honest, since COD4: MW. They've kinda been the same you know?
Granted there is the few graphical improvements here and there, but essentially you've been playing COD4 the remake since day one.

Having said that, COD's SP has always been its weak point and they could show a 20 minutes trailer of a turd with hair burning up and the game will still sell 5.5 million, since the MP is so well received.

My personal wishlist? Do away with p2p/ matchmaking. bring back dedicated servers damn you!

Doesn't look too bad........ I'm in it mainly for the MP, but hopefully the SP will be as good as MW1 this time round.

@Charl I agree in full! This game will not be a day one purchase for me.

LOL "wow after 2 years mw2 is finally getting another map pack....this one is 60 bucks tho" LOL HAHAHAHA

The thing that really gets me is the engine! Look at what BF3 is doing... creating a brand new engine that looks insane. And what does the COD guys do? Just recycle the old revamped quake 3 engine, give it a spit shine and show it off as a new engine. I'm really sick of this. It looks good yeah sure, but like most of you say it's a MW2 expansion.

How many new features do you think they'll bring in?

After Black Ops I won't be wasting any more money on COD games. The online totally sucks. Glitches, Lags, Hackers and pings. Terrible.

Its really worrying that they sticking with an old engine just so they can push it out around November again. That engine is optimized so poorly, and yet they stick to it like glue.

Yes CoD is based off the old quake 3 Enigne

BUT if you look at the old idtech3 engine they had in CoD2 and now the IW 2.0 and IW 4.0 engine in Mw2, it esentially is no longer the Quake 3 engine by a long shot, they are actually working of the IW 4.0 Engine which im lead to believe will be the the IW 6.0 or 8.0 engine? maybe? 3ARC also had access to the IW 2.0 Engine (Cod4 ) but look how poorly they did with WaW and more so BO, so even tho they share the base engine (quake 3) look at the diff between the 3ARC's engines and IW's engine, chalk and cheese really MW2 look so much better then BO with not even close to the amount of Bugs 3ARC had.....

Same old same old. I'll pass, this series is SO stale now.

Edit: Things I noted from the video.

1. Graphics look exactly the same, right down to textures and models
2. Gameplay looks exactly the same, zero improvements or advancements from what I can see.
3. Compared to what I've seen of BF3, this looks to be another Activision cash-in and to think they still want to ask their usual higher price for the game, sickening...

I would rather spend my hard earned money on Battlefield 3. That looks so much better. MW3 looks good, but I will only play the campaign and thats about it.

well we have to remember that it's in the hands of a entirely new developer, sledgehammer games, who to their credit hasn't done a single title yet...

http://www.sledgehammergames.com/

wait that's not sounding well...

Sledgehammer games is just an Activision puppet company recently launched. Infinity Ward is still handling the development, but its worth noting that the majority of developers (I would bet all the good ones) left in the Infinity Ward staff exodus they had a while ago.

As some have said before, everything after COD4 has been a disappointed. I played hundreds of hours of BLOPS online but the hackers and general lack of moderation, not to mention the glitches and lag put me off. I would be pleasantly surprised if MW3 MP turns out to be a success, but it really would be a surprise.

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (stylized as Call of Duty: MW3) is an upcoming first-person shooter video game currently in development by Infinity Ward and with assistance from co-developers Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software assisting multiplayer development"

And Raven Software assisting in the multiplayer dev, which to be honest is the most important part when it comes to MW.

Yeah it is extremely worrying! I wish they would just try something bold and new like so many indie companies are doing! It's easy really... they have this AAA title that gives them a lot of followers... so if they try something new I'm sure people will follow it like glue.
