I must say, if there's 2 bands that have come a long way, and in my life, it would be Blink 182 and Foo Fighters. Have listened to them both through the good times and the bad times in my life. Relied on the music to get me through some of the down times in life, break-ups, etc. Music ftw!

It's also very personal though, so you can't really say this or that is the best band in the world. Every person has their own personal attachments to certain artists/bands.

Ah man.... i used to be really into Underoath at one stage seeing them live in S.A was just epic!! kind of lost touch now days... its just not the same without Aarons vocals still awesome none the less!! Clearly his mind was far far away based on his own stuff now, Its like Escape the Fate (if any of you listen to them) When the lead singer Ronnie left/went to prison, the band took a lot of flack for that, and it wasnt even there fault...

I dont mind them without Aaron. But thats because I prefer bands without clean vocals at all.

Yeah i prefer unclean vocals mostly... but certain bands just sound better with the clean vocals aswell as backup though not lead.

hands down, this band called Beloved. sadly no longer active but the one guitarist actually plays for The Almost now!

Probably Billy Talent to be honest - they were crazy good and professional. Watched them at Oppi.

Second has to be Underoath, then Haste the Day.

Yeah, they don't come close to the BT though Was at their Cape Town show in Plumstead I think. Small venue but was a really awesome evening.

Muse was, by far, the best live act I've seen yet, and while I'm not a fan of the music, I thoroughly enjoyed Coldplay as well. Very professional act.

Yeah most definately plenty of local goodness to be seen!! havent seen to many international acts though... Seen underoath, haste the day & Billy Talent in DBN Metallica & 30 Seconds to mars in JHB but by far the best ever would have to be BFMV in Amsterdam also saw escape the fate & A day to remember while i was there. Sadly missed The used and probably going to miss Kings of Leon aswell

Deciding on my best band is a tough one. Defining what makes a band the best is different for each person. For me what makes a great band is what they meant to me at the time of listening

I would have to say that one of my all time favorite bands is The L.E.D - a South African Band. Growing up as a teenager listening to these guys and gals was amazing

On an International Stage there is no greater band, for me, than LIVE. I have seen them every single time they came to South Africa and they never failed to impress
