I remember, way, way back in the days my older brother managed to get a couple of games working on our 286 which was meant to be played on a more advanced system. One of them was called Nibbles (or something similar) which was probably one of the first Snake-type games (but we couldn't get it to work), the other one was called Gorillas (or Gorillaz, can't remember exactly).
Gorillas was awesome. It featured the skyline of a city with two gorillas on either side of the city-scape. You would then proceed to take turns to lob bananas at each other by choosing the angle and velocity of the throw (similar to Scorched Earth of later years). When the bananas hit something there would be a small explosion that left gaping holes in the buildings. The point of the game was obviously to hit the other gorilla with your banana.
This was back in the days of DOS and QBasic and so on. We played it on a 286 with an orange monitor.
Those were the days...
Edit: I found it!
