My first PC build, opinions needed.

Hello everyone

I've been lurking around the forums for quite a while now and have decided its about time I sort out a decent gaming PC. Here's a rough idea of the components I would like to use, please understand I am quite ignorant regarding the components required. These are just what I could figure out by myself.

My budget isn't great, by the looks of it this should cost around 10k. Yet I'm not too sure if I found the best deals available.

Ideally I would like to play most games such as BF4 on very high 1080p, in sort a PC that can play most games on relatively high graphics and function well enough for watching movies and what not.

I haven't added a DVD reader/writer but the cheapest one will do, another thing I may have overlooked is whatever component I need to pick up the wifi in my house. I would like about 2TB of HDD storage. I am not concerned about a SSD yet.

I understand some of you guys build setups? I am completely clueless on how to assemble a PC so I would be glad to be able to pay someone to sort everything out.

I am based in Paarl, Cape Town. I don't mind paying for shipping.

Regards
Justin

Getting a unlocked i5 but a entry level GPU and a Motherboard that is not made for overclocking is never a good idea.

R10 100~ Excl. Postage which should be free AFAIK. Rebeltech is usually good in that regard. Just over budget but you should be fine. You also forgot to add a PSU with your build ;)

You are getting a solid CPU (non overclockable version) and a GPU that is about 3 times more powerful than the one you were choosing.

Also Welcome to the forums!

They've actually upped it to R85 now, weight-depending.

I'd like to point out that there are some 8-series boards out there that won't boot with Haswell refresh chips because the BIOS won't be updated to a version that at least starts up and just needs a microcode update for full functionality. A Core i5-4440 or i5-4570 would be a safer bet to avoid compatibility issues.
