My Gaming Official Vent / Mumble / TS Server

Hi guys,

I would like some positive and on-topic feedback please on this.

I am offering to host a 25 seat (to start) VOIP server for Mygaming, James has given me the go ahead for this if i choose to run with it.

I would like to know from everyone what their thoughts are, if they would utilize this etc. I am partial to vent because i have used it for many years, however i recently used a Teamspeak server with the Starcraft 2 guys and it worked amazingly well from past experience with TS.

Please give me your opinions on the medium in which you prefer the VOIP to run and if you would likely use this service. I am looking at getting a 25 Seat to start so it will be at my cost @ under R100 a month.

I don't like talking to people on the internet, but if I have to choose I'd go with TS, because that's the only one I've used before.

By the way, why don't you add a poll?
 
Nice idea. I'll be interested in a TS place if you go that route. I've never used the other two services yet, but I've never had a need, as TS has been sufficient.

Poll would be a nice idea, but i would prefer that folks share their thoughts rather than just clicking.

We have our own personal server at the moment, but I like the idea of a MyGaming one. We are running a vent server and it's not giving us any issues.
 
I have used all of those, out of the lot TS is my favourite - least problems to setup, easy to adjust settings and so forth. Also I found mumble to be unclear and a lot of people in our old wow raiding party had issues with it.
 
Ok so it seems TS is the program of choice so far. I will leave this thread open for a bit to give others a chance to comment.

I'll ultimately decide this weekend and get a server up and running. Will probably run it for a month and see how it goes.
 
Someone has done this before for myG, and the reception wasn't all too great. Partly because most players here are either very casual and don't wish to really get that involved, or many belong to clan whom have their own TS.

Just giving you a heads up. It might have changed as the community is a lot bigger now, but I'd suggest doing a survey or poll first before going ahead with something that will cost you money.
