My laptop

Hi all
I am a bit concerned about my laptop. I recently bought myself a gigabyte laptop how ever when I turn it on my screen is black but sometimes there are light grey streaks going across the screen yet everything else works fine is a concern or should I relax bout it. I love this laptop to much for something to go wrong.
It is also my first time owning my own laptop.

Please share your thoughts on this
 
hi yes I am using it at work. So it is around a lot of the equipment there are quite a few printers and a pc next to me but nothing major in my eyes. May be I am just a worry pot cause I love this laptop so much.

Hi my laptop is only a couple weeks old not even a month old the streaks come and go, That is why I am just checking up on it.The only time it travels is to work and home.I am stumped as to why this is happening.

Does it happen at home?
 
What I think is that there might be some damage from it being to near something that draw a lot of power or cables thats not properly shielded.
 
Update all your drivers, especially your video drivers.
Being near computer equipment wouldn't interfere with the screen, so unless you're running the office coffee machine cable right behind your laptop I would rule out power interference.
Strong magnets might also cause problems, so move those 2000W PMPO speakers a little further away.
If none of the above resolve the problem, make sure you can recreate it or take a picture and return the laptop a.s.a.p before the warranty expire where they'll replace it rather than send it away for repairs.

One more question, does the streaks go away if you move the screen to close and back open again without placing the LT to Stanby?
