Hi All,

I googled Xbox repairs and found some guys on the net in the s/suburbs of Cape Town. Just wondering if there is any repair centres in the northern suburbs that can maybe help me.

If anyone can recommend soemone please post their details. I would prefer to drop off and collect to take a look at the guys.

Thanks

How about Mark? He's quite a cool guy residing in bothasig running a repair business from his house. I wonder if he still does repairs though.. Now if only i could find his number... Ah! wait.. his site may be down but try theconsoledoctor.co.za

How did your xbox end up taking a swim? Were you taking it for a walk in the garden and fell in the pool?

Wow, that's quite painful. And a good case for small claims court.

It was divulged on a forum a few years ago - that is how I found it :) But you are right. You might want to edit your own post.

My phone took a swim once... I immediately turned it off, opened it up, removed the battery and let it dry for a week. Turned it on a week later and it worked just fine. A friend of mine had his entire PC take a dip in the pool when his brother accidentally dropped it in or something when moving. His PC still worked fine after.

So, as was previously suggested, maybe open up the cases and leave it to dry for a week or two.

I also heard that putting it in uncooked rice helps soak up the moisture. Never tried it though.

Some electronic olympics

Whoa, perhaps it's time to drop the GF in that regard. Anyone going that far to make any point can only lead to further instability in the future.

I can vouch for Mark as well, he fixed my PS2 and Xbox1 on a couple of occasions.

I've heard about rinsing with distilled water, and then letting it dry. It's usually all the crap in the water that damages electronics, not the water itself.

Ye ye she is gone, this happened after it was ended and I went to the shops....

Left a msg on Marks phone so waiting to hear from him

I also think Final Fantasy 7, 8 and 9 should be remade.

FFVII was supposed to get remade, but they seem to not take it as high priority at the moment. Or maybe they ditched the project altogether, which would be really disappointing.

FFVIII was still the best Final Fantasy for me as it was the first one I ever played. So I would also love to see this one get remade too.

....lolwut?
