It's disappointing because I was probably expecting too much from the game - I'm a long time Kubert fan - and so far, with the frustrating gameplay and lack of any interesting story hooks, I feel a bit let down.

Maybe if I had lowered my expectations for the game I wouldn't have felt this way and could enjoy it more.

I get where you are coming from, I am also skipping the story line
 
I really need to get back into playing this game if I have any hope of finishing it before the end of the month.
 
I'm going to start the voting for the new game soon.

Good luck with Darksiders! It's not an easy game to complete.
 
I've started completing the bits of the sword, and then I got challenged to a duel to the death...such a grind this game :(

Yea running around now getting all the previously missed chests (for I think the 3rd time, since each time I was like "ok now i have everything i need to explore"....so grindy) with 1 sword piece to go.
 
K so I got all 10 pieces of the armor, got full life and wrath (BTW guys, not only are the serpent holes between 2 locations unique, but there are a few chests in them so lookout!), all artifacts and all enhancements, and leveled up all my gear (except the stupid punchglove). now for abaddon.
 
And finished. What a terrible crappy game. no imagination with bossfights at all. do some damage in some "unique" way, phase 2 dodge some stuff/fight minions. start all over. i never felt a fight build up, and the final fight you cant tell me it was different, it was just basically 2 fights after each other, exact same thing.

Aaand finished. Rose tinted glasses are a bitch. Either that, or Dark Souls ruined games like Darksiders for me.
