[MyGame] Deus Ex: Human Revolution

I must admit that I'm just not feeling this game. I got a bit further than my first attempt years ago, but I just couldn't get myself to play further.

So, my free time this weekend was taken up by Divinity Original Sin EE and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, both on PS4, both tons of fun.

I just "demo'd" Hellblade for 10 minutes, and just purchased it on Steam. within 3 minutes I was hooked, and Deus Ex is drifting further away. I'll probably finish it this weekend, if I must. I don't loathe it like i did Darksiders, but yea not feeling it. I just have no investment in any of the characters. I left

to die and couldn't care less..

Grats.

I'm in Singapore tracking down the missing scientists GPL signals.

I just found Tong's son and rage quit after taking a sniper out by the docks, quick saving and then 5 seconds after that realising the other sniper saw me, didn't get alarmed/hostile on the map, but is shooting at me shortly afterwards...so now i get to play over from the auto-save from who-knows-when.

Oh, I do manual saves. I got past those snipers by activating stealth (3 bars of energy) I just managed to hack the door when the guard came close.

Yea I also manual save constantly! But I am running seriously low on ammo

I decided to replay the Director's Cut this time round and I am finally beyond the point where I left off playing back in 2011.

Having much more fun this time generally not worrying too much if I alert the guards, or kill them with turrets, bots, or my maxed-out typhoon system. Last time I tried to go nonlethal and I remember it being very frustrating.

I didn't think having two energy cells regenerate would make such a big difference, but being able to use augments more freely is more fun.

From the two bosses I've faced, I noticed the "Director's Cut" additions to fight them using your non-shooty abilities, but it felt like you had to go very far out of your way to do it.

This time round it feels like I'm noticing the story told through PDAs and e-mails, as well as the environment a bit more and it's really cool! Besides the interesting stories told in text, I noticed for the first time that Jensen has a hobby... and that he is (or used to be) a smoker.

In Hengsha there is also a trashed server/computer room with some credits in a safe that kind-of lets you infer that story yourself.

Just over 20 hours in, and I've really got into it now.

How do you get 2 energy cells to regenerate? I am now almost full with my praxis in all fields (recoil and fortify left i think), and Only 1 cell regenerates even though I have 5. Its the most stupid system in the entire gaming world...

I'm done. Unfortunately I didn't get the Foxiest achievement. But I finished on the hardest setting with a Pacifist run so that something.

Oh and make sure to watch till the end of the credits for a little snippet of interesting conversation.

Ah... I thought they might have patched it in the base game. In the Director's Cut two cells regenerate by default.

They should really have made that faster power cell regeneration augment also cause more cells to regenerate from empty.
