[MyGame] Grim Dawn

Didn't play this weekend.

I did. Dinged 40 and then we spent some time getting our gear setup. I do about 3.5k retaliation damage, that coupled with my 100% stun when hit makes me quite the barb-wire tank :D And thats all thanks to the Perdition Item set that I now have 3 of :D

Good day. Just started Ultimate Difficulty. Pics of Finish One and Finish Two attached:

I'm almost at the Warden on Elite difficulty. Had smooth sailing so far; I cleared the Depraved Sanctuary and I also did the first part of the Hidden Path quest line. Haven't died once so far on Elite. Will see how the Warden goes when I get to him, hopefully tonight.

I have picked up a few legendaries so far, but I only have 3 equipped at the moment. For the 1 I had to sacrifice quite a bit of damage, but I gained a lot of HP regen in the process, so my HP regen now sits at 220 or so I think. Currently sitting at level 61/62.

I made it to level 41 last night. I've moved from piercing damage to a lot of poison damage. I'm using 2 parts of the Perdition set and would love to get the rest!

Currently it feels like I'm playing on the normal difficulty again. My soldier is really kicking ass. Especially compared to in the beginning when I had to run away a lot.

Yea the perdition set on the soldier is quite awesome. seeing mobs hit you once and then instantly die is funny :D

And done!

I had it for a while but only constructed it last night... needed the materials still.

Also, I played a bit again last night... got up to level 38. was planning on stopping at level 36 already, but somehow I ended up on level 38 and finished off both Homestead main quests.

I crafted it but alas I've already replaced it with the following:

As for my character this is what my Battlemage currently looks like:

However for my battle against the Log I replace the medal I have above with a Kymon's Chosen badge for better chaos resistance:

The reason why I fought the Log so late is because I was still grinding for rep needed to unlock Honoured status with certain factions so I could gain access to their augments. I was also farming the last few mats I needed to craft this thing of beauty:

The Haunt relic and the Nether crown I am wearing both give +1 to all skills in the Arcanist tree.

While I have unlocked Elite difficulty I still want to complete a run of the Bastion of Chaos, Kasparov's quest that got me killed the last time and The Hidden Path. The latter of which I may only return to once I am level 60+.

I'm in the part just after that, the blood marsh, but thanks to exams I am not playing much and when I do I can't seem to do much useful.

I'm also currently in the blood marsh. Wanted to play last night but only played for about 10 minutes when the power went out. I finally got some dynamite again so I want to go help out that person by the spiders.

I might play this week, I had a very busy weekend(ending with a slight hangover) so I haven't had the chance to play

FYI: The blacksmith in Homestead can craft Dynamite. ;)

PS: And be careful with the NPC you are trying to help.

Yeah I also learned that while I was busy farming dynamite. So much quicker to craft :D

Also, in your previous post; I didn't realise you can put an augment on an item along with a component! I have only been using components so far! I'll have to have a look to see who offers which augments so I can put some on my gear.

What's an augment? Hmm I'll have to go see if I have any of them and apply them too.

Haven't played much this week. And when we do, we seem to be stuck in a "let's do the next faction bounty" loop. so we're 40+ but still just after smugglers pass progression-wise. Oh well, grinding out that HC :D

Yeah, they changed it in v1.0.0.2. Before you used to be able to buy several sticks per game session from Isaiah Reddan in Homestead.

Each blacksmith in the game actually offers something unique that the other smiths do not offer or their equipment is imbued with different properties.

For example, if you are struggling to find Ancient Hearts, Blood of Ch'thon or Tainted Brain Matter then the blacksmith in the Gates of Necropolis will come in very handy.

Yeah, this is why I was grinding rep. I wanted to unlock all the initial augs so I could pick and choose the best ones. I'll grind out the remaining rep. needed for the revered augs over my elite and ultimate playthroughs. :)

Speaking of my previous post what do you guys think of my sub-60s Log kill? :D

Augments

Augments come in the form of powders, meticulously crafted enchantments, tinctures and poisons used by the various factions of Cairn. The process to creating Augments is a carefully guarded secret so, with the exception of one quest reward in Act 3, you will have to earn access to them by working with factions. There are two sets of Augments, each intended for different items.
