[MyGame] Spec Ops: The Line

I'm going to try and finish Spec Ops before Mass Effect: Andromeda is downloaded and unlocked. Restarted, and currently on Chapter 5.

While I'm sure folks have moved on already, if anyone wants to give co-op a go, give me a holler. I'll be on Discord too.

If there were achievements, yes, but its already filed under 100% for me :D

Crap. I still have to finish this. Time is running out. Will maybe do it tomorrow or Friday as I'm off.

I have to go to Jo'burg on Friday and I have an exam on Monday.
As prestigious as a Spec Ops badge may be, I can't include in on my CV. Or I can, but it may not have the hoped for result.

The time taken to type out those replies would've finished an entire level in this game. "whistling:

Last day to get 100% (or finish it at all) and get the gold plated super-awesome-i'm-cool badge (or normal one if you are a filthy casual)!

...one can dream.

Finished the game on the plane on the way back to South Africa.

The ending was... less than satisfactory.

Which ending did you get? Where were you? And did you finish it in time?

I was flying from the US after attending the Samsung Galaxy S8 launch. In that timezone (NY/Eastern), I finished in time :-)

I played through two endings:

Spoiler: show

First I committed suicide, without realising what I was doing. Then I went back, shot [at] the colonel, and put down my weapon when the extraction team came.

While I thought the game did many things brilliantly, I just can't figure out why Adams and Lugo would continue to follow someone who had clearly become unhinged. That's the one thing keeping me from suspending disbelief.

Which endings did you get on your first time through, and which one did you go for this time?

Wow you get to fly all over these days. :)

I got the same two endings in the same order as you.

Spoiler: show
I love the twist! I suppose you shouldn't think too hard about it. Maybe because they are soldiers they are conditioned to follow their leader no matter what.

I can only guess but, I think they just ran out of options really. Follow a crazy guy hellbent on revenge listing to a ghost in a walkie talkie. Sounds dangerous but at least you are somewhat safe... Versus, giving up/being captured and very likely being killed. Although we know how it turned out anyway. I'd choose to prolong my life rather than face death rather quickly. Dylan Thomas comes to mind here.

It was a "in for a penny, in for a pound" type of situation

The awards for finishing this one in time have finally been handed out.

Thanks to Glordit for designing the medal. It looks great!
