I never played it, but judging by reviews, I expected X Men: Destiny to be on the list

It was on the short list - but I was the only unfortunate soul in the office who had the displeasure of playing it.

Then Dragon Age 2, know this wasn't in the article, but 4th runner up? When I initially played it when it was first released, I wasn't really impressed but I recently got all the DLC and started playing it again and it is quite good. Maybe as a Dragon Age Origins sequel it is not what you would have expected and from that point of view, it might not seem as a good game... But as a game on its own, this is not a bad game. It is like a combination of how Mass Effect and Dragon Age worked, but with better graphics and dialogue. I'm pretty sure that someone who liked Mass Effect or similar games and has not played DA1, who jumps right into this game, would probably like it.

Well I have only played about 30 minutes of Mass Effect 2, and probably about 15 minutes of DAO.
From what I did play of DAO I didn't like it. DA 2 seemed much more in line with what I was expecting from DAO but I didn't find it immersible enough. I got about 6 hours into DA2 before giving up on it.
