I will have to check this out once I am home, damn office web filter blocks almost all sites, it's a wonder I can get to MyG

i gave SuperBru for Super Rugby a miss this year as i had too much rugby in my life (yes, that can be a thing). will have a look to see if it interests me more than actually watching golf. i dont have my hopes up yet though :)

Your servers let you into MyGaming and not into SuperBru? :eek: Wow! Our servers are so tight... it makes a duck's arse look like Swiss cheese! I ain't allowed into MyGaming. All my posts through the day are through Tapatalk. Thanks goodness for great apps like that.
 
Wow this is not going to be an easy competition...I'm trying to make my picks and honestly I think I'm going to be so far off. But hey, I can only hope.

Dale Hayes was punting Brendan Grace. I went with him as one of my picks. And I am not trying to influence anyone with this :o

I really hope he features well, and SA players tend to do quite well in The Open. I backed Charl Schwartzel, but if he drops me again like in the Players I'm gonna be very angry

Gary Player on sports news (702) was saying that the fairways are dry and the roll is phenomenal. He said that it was a pity, as many players were likely to be using irons off the box instead of drivers (unless the wind blows).

Regardless, I love links golf courses and cannot wait to see the action tomorrow :)
 
My wife's boss hit it huge yesterday. A hole in one at Houghton, Joburg. And he has the tenacity to tell me that I need to practice more if I want it too. Lol.

Seriously. Practice more? In my opinion practice improves accuracy and the frequency of play will both influence it, but it remains pure luck imo. Thoughts?

The more you practice, the luckier you get, or so I've heard.

Gary Player once said that, the more he practiced, the more he seemed to get lucky...

But luck will always play a role in every type of sport. The better player you are, the better your chances are of getting those luck in your favour.
 
Right you are. And it makes sense now that I think about it. Doesn't help me then that I am only getting 3 or 4 rounds in a year. Pity.
