MyGaming Origin Community

Woke up this morning to find my Origin password had been reset and BF4 Premium and PvZ was purchased using my credit card info.

Jeez...not cool. Surely though you can get that reversed? ...or are they not like steam :P

Did you have your CC info saved with origin???

Must have been saved, actually can't remember clicking that option. But they say the process will be reversed and refunded in 5-10 working days. In the meantime I have blocked my CC and ordered a new one. But don't worry, for the inconvenience EA have given me 15% off my next purchase!!! ...pfft...

Do you get to keep bf4? :D (PvZ was free for quite some time, so dunno who would be purchasing that :P)

your creditcard info is automatically saved on origin. There is not other option. That was my biggest concern with buying from them. Because of that your cc info is probably safe. I doubt it was a system hack, they must have gotten hold of your password somehow. Have you tested your pc for malware?

Hmm... interesting... never actually thought of that. Will give it a scan tonight.
 
I'm very paranoid online and double protect everything. Found this feature in Origin a while back, might be worth while to add it.
Like the account protection of GMail and STEAM.

Well my new bank card is sitting at Nedbank, so for all intensive purposes, they can keep those details of mine.

I went digging and found out that VCpay takes up to 7 working days to reverse your reserve.
Also when you ask for refund from Origin. After the refund gets processed the money came in 48 hours.
 
Origin tells me I need to retry syncing to my cloud data. It has trouble doing so (after a few tries).

I decide to leave the operation. When I next startup a game it tells me my files aren't synced and that this can be prevented by syncing after gaming.

Such a troll. XD
