MyGaming PC spend survey - have your say

The worst is I don't really know how much I spent on PC games these last 5 years. I mean, I love specials and bundles. So you buy something for cheap but all those cheap games add up. Plus then there were games I got at launch like Diablo III collectors edition and the Mass Effect 3 collectors edition.

It's scary really.
 
Shoooosh Soli, we will not think about it :P At least since becoming a student it has been easier to say no to specials and new releases.

When I think how much people spend on alcohol, cigarettes, cars, bikes and all other types of hobbies I don't feel so bad. A friend got a 15k Engine modification for his car only to have it break down and having to spend 50k on a new engin.

True that, spent R2500 on a GTX750ti couple of months back. Had it delivered to my work, and people were genuinely confused about how I could spend that much on it (which isn't even that much, I know).

Needless to say, when I told them that this was still cheap, they were flabbergasted. But they spend a lot more on mountain biking in a month than I do on my PC in a year.

Collectors editions can really burn your pocket. I have this baby on my list though.

Where is the R0? I haven't bought any gaming memorabilia/t-shirts etc. I chose no answer, but it's not entirely the same, is it?
 
I purchased a Corsair Air540 Chassis, G402 Logitech mouse and 2 GTX 980's at rAge... That place is a weight loss camp for wallets.

Same, note to whoever adds this stuff up. My no answer under memorabilia means R0, I don't buy that sort of stuff.

I've won memorabilia, never actually bought, so no answer was the correct answer.
 
I reduced the amounts I said on the survey a bit since some of the components are more for work than for gaming (i.e. Multiple tv screens, large amount of RAM, etc.). However, even the amounts I did put on there can probably be cut in half because I would have had quite a powerful computer for work anyway. I guess my only "real" gaming expense would be the GPU which was quite expensive and were it only for work, I could have come right with two cheaper GPUs rather than one powerful one.
