MyGaming StarCraft II league

Come on, bro. Why alienate people who want to be part of this community? What better way to become an active member by starting out in a tourney. Further, why do you immediately impute me (or new users) as being suspect of cheating? Why assume the worst in people? Perhaps it would be of some consolation if I told you now that I don't have a false sense of accomplishment: what satisfaction do you get out of cheating?

When I said that "I want to be part of this community" I meant it. So hopefully I will be seeing you around, and hopefully in the tournament. :)

I have to totally agree with this guys.

Think about it for just a sec. Give them a fair chance and if they do cheat, which is highly unlikely in Starcraft II, then take action. Otherwise, I'd say welcome anyone that's interested. Just my opinion though.

You're free to join in and chat here on the forum so long. By January you could have 2k posts.

No offence but we would prefer to have some of the more active users in the leagues we start, for a couple reasons. One of them being that when we get to know who our fellow formites are we want to know whether they are cheaters or not (No offence guys). The same thing way we had it when we had our COD Corporate League.

I'm not sure how long I have been a member here at mygaming. A year. Maybe 2? Don't feel like going to check. Point is....

This is the first time I've ever honestly felt that this forum is not an OPEN, TRANSPARENT WELCOMING place for us gaming geeks to come together and discuss AND PLAY what we love. If I was a new user here and had seen that comment, I don't think I would have found myself coming here again.

I've always thought this a place which invited people, often new to the world of gaming and technology, to learn and not be seen as "Unks" or "Noobs". That is honestly the kind of statement I would expect to see spammed at the top of a Call of Duty screen.

I realise that maybe I'm taking it a little to seriously, but I think that statements like that will jeopardize what you, AND US (as a part of this community) are trying to build here.

I hope that everyone who is signed up here at the forums will get a fare chance to take part.

Eish 2 much text for my phone will read wen i get home and reply to all

But everyone can join and i mean everyone,if sum1 from china registers they more than welcome to play

Shot guys, I really appreciate the comments. This is the kind of vibe I'm talking about. If you want to coalesce the gaming community in SA then an "open, welcoming" place which always assumes good faith is what must be advertised. And I'm not saying there aren't cheaters out there but if there are then they rightly deserve exclusion.

sycogrim, if you are reading this, please understand that I don't mean any offense and haven't passed any judgement on you. i get where you are coming from though since you are highly involved on these forums and so that does deserve some respect from me. but we all love starcraft and really that's the only thing that truly matters! :D

I think January was mentioned?

The oke needs time to organise and is also busy :D

Thats an understatement lol, company busy moving lol

No one will be able to cheat, because of 2 reasons.

1. Its battle.net and they will get banned anyways

2. Every replay WILL be emailed to me, if some1 accuses some1 of cheating, i will have a look at the replay and decide.

Everyone who is signed up on the forums is welcome to join, this is a tournament to...

1. Improve peoples ability in the game.

2. Experiment with different strats that they have always wanted to try.

3. As a community grow and as a SC2 community grow in members as well, make new friends and play against one another.

Refering to the aforementioned. I think you are right. It's very difficult to cheat on BNet anyway. Btw, if anyone wants to practice with me for the 40K do-gaming tournament add me as a friend on here so that we can practice online.

Thanks Caboose!

You have no idea how much I love this forum. Before Mygaming, it was just me and some friends talking about games.

Keep up the great work. Can;t wait for the tournament!

Thanks, hope I kick your butt in the upcoming tournament:D that is after I have finished these exams!

Ha! I like this friendly rivalry.

Principe do you mind telling us what ur rating/rank is? I like when people have sc2sigs so we can all scope out the competition ;)

lol subversion...such an elitist! Why don't you go flash your flashy diamond elsewhere...or better yet...finish the campaign noob! :-D

I don't even want to show it here, that would be public humility! :D Trust me dude, when I say I suck at SC, I really mean it. I think If my grandma were still alive, she would be able to beat me hands down.
