Dampi saw this post on SteamGifts and Dampi was not a happy panda. Dampi will be mailing the devs and demand that hack be restored as restitution for the extra day's delay. lol

This might be one heck of an update to the site and they might have bit off more than they can chew.

From what I had read on the forums regarding beta testers for 2.0, it was definately an improvement over the existing one. I for one can't wait to see it, especially since they're getting rid of "CV" points :)
 
i just hope they make the site a bit snappier. its always a mission to create GA coz it takes forever to load the bits and pieces

There were days that the website was perfect as well, so clearly the amount of users makes a massive difference. Somehow I doubt that the beta testers are nearly enough to hit that critical mass point.

But hey, let's hope.

Well its "downtime" (aka 3 in the morning) in the US, where I would assume quite a chunk of their traffic would come from, so launching around this time is probably pre-arranged as the lowest amount of traffic?
 
Looks like I am level 3 now. I like that they've added the ability to hide giveaways that you don't have the base game for, and also individual games if you click the button. There are some games that I own that steamgifts just can't pick up correctly.

I'm level 4 also (still need to find out what they all mean), the site is quite cool, and they have included sales and trades and everything, quite nifty.
 
I'm also level 4. Haven't had a look at everything yet though. It seems much more responsive.

Nevermind, thought I would take some time to have a look and getting error 503 Service Unavailable.

Same here. Just got back from client meetings and excitedly clicked on the link to open the site.... I was welcomed with the 503 error... Fun
