I might have a borderlands: goty key left over from a bundle I bought in 2013 that I'd like to giveaway... Doesn't look like I can find out if the key is still valid without trying to add it to my account.

Any ideas short of "Give me the key, I'll try it out for ya"? ;)

I THINK its possible for someone with the game, to try it. I THINK it shows you a "already used" prompt before it shows you a "already owned". I may be wrong on this....

Ya... I was thinking that, but... I've got Borderlands with all the DLC, but I'm not sure if it is GOTY, so I really don't want to add it twice to my account...

There isn't a "seperate" game for the GOTY edition, its just BL1 with the 4 DLC's, from what I can find. But yea, understand you don't want to "waste" it testing, and at the same time get someones hopes up with a used key :p

Meh, in can do with BL even without the dlc.
