MyGaming suggestion box

Okay... thats sad, but moving on, I tried to login with my android app today and it said myG may have disabled taptalk?

Same here. Cannot acces the mygaming forums via the Android app. Tapatalk may have been disabled. Can anyone pls confirm?

Hi chaps; we updated Tapatalk again this weekend - is the Android app still giving problems?

We are piloting a project to encourage South African internet and forum users to visit and interact with other large forums in South Africa. No need for South Africans to visit international forums when we have great local communities :)

We've partnered with the large South African forums who are dominant in their respective field and meet the criteria of being part of the DMMA.

But since I'm looking, Digg? Delicious? StumbleUpon? what is this charity work? :P

Regarding, the Tapatalk forum app.

It's been giving us endless grief, so we've uploaded a whole new app - the official vBulletin forum app.

Maybe you guys used old version of tappa because mines perfect im running now of my iPhone.

That vb one if not yet updated again is really pathetic in comparison. We had long talk about this over at myb, magically ignored by the powers that be.

Link me to that MyBB thread please.

We did update the Tapatalk app as well, but it has been giving trouble, so we've uploaded a vBulletin app. Pick your poison ;)

Sug, I linked in the wrong thread

Thanks :)

Please bear in mind that MyBroadband is a massive forum, and "the powers that be" are busy doing a lot of stuff each day, so we don't see every single thread that gets posted.

We will take a look at that thread now.

I've encouraged RPM to create a suggestion box type thread on MyBB so that issues raised by users aren't lost in the mire :)

I could state it better without sounding like an ass. Frustration, but that's not an excuse...

we have a whole subreddit forum (LOL) for that. ;)

*Damn now I know I'm a reddit addict.

Can I ask that a rule be instated that all posts on the forum need to be in english? I can respect people's need to converse in their own language, but then they can start a separate thread for it.

While I believe there isn't a single afrikaans person on this forum who doesn't understand english (else how the hell would he have signed up?), there are quite a few english people who do not understand afrikaans. The Afrikaans guys should respect that this is an english forum.

Nothing quite pisses me off like when I'm reading a thread here, and halfway through a group of people start talking in afrikaans. Especially considering that it always seems to be the same group, and they seem to be friends, and their discussion is usually only horseplay between them and has nothing to do with the topic. It breaks the flow of the discussion. If you want to horse around in afrikaans, make an afrikaans thread in Off Topic like the one on MyBB.

I'm betting people wouldn't be too happy if me and a few friends constantly went into threads and started talking in Swahili or French, so respect that and keep your afrikaans to less serious discussion threads or a thread dedicated to it.

We won't restrict people to using only English.

If a thread is being derailed, in any language, please report it to the mods. As far as our linguistic skills allow, we'll prevent people from derailing the topic of a thread by asking nicely, and taking further steps if necessary.

As a Dutchie, I'll admit Graal has a point. It's not that I respect English people more than Afrikaans people. You bastards locked up my great grand parents in concentration camps on st Helena!

Just kidding, but seriously. English is the best and broadest form of communication for pretty much everyone on here. I always start threads etc. in English but I see no harm in secluded posts being in Afrikaans ... oder auf Deutsch wenn ich mächte.

Carrying off on a tangent in Afrikaans does create the sense of an 'insiders' club.

That's pretty much how I feel about it. It's not that I particularly prefer english over afrikaans, I just think it's bad form if a group of people are constantly speaking a language that a portion of the forum doesn't understand, when those people could just as easily be talking english. English is, unfortunately, a universal language language. I don't consider it draconian or selfish to expect people to speak a language that everybody understands when they come to a culturally diverse forum. In fact, I'd go so far as to say it's selfish to speak a language that some people don't understand, when you could just as easily speak the language that all of them understand.

One should not have to use an external translating application to take part in a discussion either.
