MyGaming suggestion box

I keep getting logged out of the forums every few minutes or when ever I leave a thread, any one else have this problem?
 
I had that same probably on another VB-powered forum a few years back. The admin there told me that it had something to do with one of the settings logging you out automatically after a set amount of time, so if it is set at 5 minutes, it will log you off if you spend more than 5 minutes reading a single page of a thread. Pretty annoying.

Do you have 'Remember me' ticked when you log in?

Yea I click it every time. I found the problem though, or I seem to have, it's my browser Opera 12.01 (latest version) some settings must be all FUBAR, I was adding headphones to a wish list and every time I clicked add I had to log in over and over again.

Logged in with Chrome and did'nt get logged out, will have a look later today a Opera's settings, and see if there is anything I need to change.
 
Those articles weren't getting read much, and were actually a lot of work trying to get everyone to send through their little blurb each week (think herding cats). Maybe we'll revisit it in future; we've replaced it with the news round-up.

Fair enough. I must say though, it was interesting getting to know what the mygaming crew would get up to on their gaming weekends.

I was fun. I think it got repetitive perhaps, so less people were reading it. As I said, we could think about doing it again in future. Perhaps in a new format once a month :)

Would it be possible to add a timer to the reputation system as well, because I tried to give someone rep which I haven't done in like ages and it asked me to pass it around. Can we not say that the timer expires once a month but still keep the same system in play where you have to hand it around before giving to the same person?? :)
 
Not possible.

I've made an adjustment: How many different users must you give reputation to before you can hit the same person again? = 5

Any reason why we have to post 2 posts a day now for competitions, since I don't like having to be on everyday posting and missing 1 day and losing my post count for competition .

I like to post when I want to post and still enjoy the competitions or it will lead to me making up posts for them instead of contributing the right way.

I second this, 10 in a week is better than twice a day.
 
It's something we are trying to weed out the new sign-ups and their worthless posts. 20 spams on the day you enter and never to be seen again? Yeah, that guy sucks. Suffice to say that if you are a regular, I don't think it's going to be much of a problem come draw time (ssshhh, don't repeat that too loudly).
