MyGaming suggestion box

I can't seem to reproduce this theme problem you guys are having. Which browsers are being used? Any plugins such as flashblock, adblock, etc?

It happens in Chrome. As soon as you visit the iGame part of the forum and you go back to the main page the iGame theme becomes the default on the main page.

Okay cool, strange bug that. Working on a fix. You can still select your theme at the bottom left in the drop down menu.

James... How does one enter the competition?? Or do you have to post in the thread to begin qualifying? I'm trying to get some understanding of the test comp :)

Is there also any way of understanding exactly how the points system works and how you achieve points etc...

eg: 1 point for every 3 posts in a day etc...

The competition runs over a specified duration. Any of the specified activity during that time enters you into the competition.

Posting the points breakdown would undermine the purpose of the competition.

I've never noticed the calendar feature before now, but it's actually really nice. Definitely something I'd use. I've just got a suggestion for it.

I notice everyone's birthdays get added to the calendar automatically. As the forum keeps growing this clogs up the calendar more and more. Is there a possibility you guys can implement a feature so that you'd have to opt-in for putting your birthday up on the calendar? It would help keep the inactive members' birthdays off the calendar.

Another nice feature would be the ability to change the color of text on the calendar. As an example, birthdays are in blue. Say if I want to add videogame release dates to the calendar, it would be nice if I could do it in red so people can immediately discern between that and user birthdays.

Also, the calender doesn't seem to go beyond 2012:rolleyes:

Calendar fixed. Post will require moderation.

Graal has been doing a nice job of adding game launch dates - thanks!

I've set up the Birthday calendar to be separate from the general gaming events calendar. The birthday calendar cannot be edited by users and is auto-generated. Users can select to display their birthday or not in the User Control Panel.

The birthdays will still be displayed on the forum front page events, along with the other gaming events.

I'll look into removing birthdays from the list but it might be a forum wide action. Thinking as I type, I might be able to set up a calendar just for birthdays.

Nice, thanks! :D

Now I just hope people actually use it because it's a pretty nifty feature for keeping track of local and international gaming events and release dates for games.

I know I will get a lot of flak for this but I honestly I think the TK thread should be excluded from this competition.
The TK thread is filled with the regulars and if they only post there without adding anything to the rest of the forum their "posts" are a lot more on say any given day than the average regular poster in other threads simply because they are not as active.

*loads flak cannon*
Oy! I post in other threads too :P.

Also, another thing is that the TK has seen some pretty relevant discussions that are just as important as the discussions in other threads :p
