Hey guys

Im heading off to stellenbosch Easter weekendish, just wondering if anyone knows if there is any roadworks on the N1 between bloem and Beuufort.

That or im Taking Kimberly which apparently is in very good condition at the moment

Yeah the bloem/kimberley road is much better since they did maintenance on it.

When I moved down to Cape Town I went on the N1. There were some roadworks after Bloom then, but that was like 3 months ago. Even so, it's not a bad road to use at all.

There are those roadworks every now and again where you have to stop and wait for the other lane as every one is limited to one lane.

I see that report is dated March 2014 so should be latest, usually quite reliable as it also has contact details for route manager or the routine road maintenance manager for each section. Had a good look through and the details are accurate for the sections I know well. Should help.
