NAG LAN @ rAge 2013: ticket sales go live soon

I havent been in a few years myself, and am definitely considering going this year...however there are tonnes of people that pay for tickets and sit there for the 3 days and leech!

We hoping to get a group of the Grim wolves together to go this year...
 
It's a real pity that it's a leech-fest. With uncapped internet I don't really see the need for leeching any more, so all I want to do is game.
 
yea it is a leech fest when not all people have a good uncaped line.

But then i was thinking what games can you play at a lan ???

Dota 1 was always big now with 2 out i dont see it being the main game.
CSS when CS:GO is out.
COD no legal lan
SC no lan option
COD 4 OMFG when will that game die.

I dont play alot of games its all online based play so ... what is there to play.

I played Unreal 3 in 2011 rAge that was fun but yea thats about it. its just a big lan and you get to play games with friends thats what i can also do at a house lan

im still going but what is there to play on the open lan? DGL is the main focus point of the event and no one out side the DGL knows what is going on. No Shout casting not spectating the games played. they need to do that to bring up esports in SA. there is alot i can saw but who knows if it will happen.

Looking forward to meeting some of the peeps i met online
 
lol z1oc I was thinking the exact same thing while posting my previous post. I wonder if they will be hosting any game servers?

Main reason I would want to go is also to meets peeps from Online gaming and see expo...plus a weekend out gaming just seems..."right!! " :D
 
yea man i would like to meet up with some MYGG forum peeps.

Idk about the game server. They never did that last year.
 
Sorry guys! Made a mistake when first posting the story. The LAN ticket price is R400, not R350. I was working on the older price and didn't notice that it had gone up since the announce in April.

Coz the Editor needs a new flat screen tv :p
I think due to the insane petrol increase and the worse rand exchange rate it caused a higher increase then they would have expected.

It's sad to be honest.
The price for floor space is very high which keeps anyone that doesn't have massive chash from really getting a spot.
This is why we've seen some of the favorite stands dissapear over the years as they can hardly break even if it all or simply can't write that off as advertising on the budget.
 
R400 to get into that cakehole :wtf:

Hell, if you're not in the league, you may as well club in and organise a private lan/leech party ....... I did that a good while ago and met some MyGaming peeps and they're still friends.

I've been to the expo 3 times I think. Every time I was just disappointed and annoyed by the number of people taking up space, and ended up spending more time at the mall next to the dome.
